Happy Baby Girl

Our precious baby girl is 4 months old now. She lights up our days and her big, open mouth grins make us all laugh in the morning, as she is right now, waving her little hands all around. Her joy in life is quite contagious! Thank God for babies.

"A Baby is a Great Way to Start a Person."

“When God wants a great work done in the world or a great wrong righted, He goes about it in a very unusual way. He doesn’t stir up His earthquakes or send forth His thunderbolts. Instead, He has a helpless baby born, perhaps in some simple home of some obscure mother. And then God puts the idea into the mother’s heart, and she puts it into the baby’s mind. And then God waits. The greatest forces of the world are not the earthquakes and the thunderbolts. The greatest forces in the world are babies.” —E.T. Sullivan

{I think my boys would giggle that 'babies are the greatest forces in the world today'--it conjures up the image of mini super heroes in capes flying around! But it is true!}

I read this for my devotional today; inspiring and empowering! These, Our Little Ones.

2012 China Work Trip

In July, my husband traveled to China for work. He attended a conference, which he spoke at. He was also happy to visit with his sister and nephew, who lives abroad with her family. It was a 10 day trip, which he said went well. He also said the food was pretty good most places he ate at (lots of food photos) and there were a lot of ice cream shops to pick from.

I thought we survived without him pretty well, especially with a new baby (4 months old), and kids ages 9, 7, 5 and 2 1/2. Not bad!

We missed him a lot, but thanks to Skype, got to chat with him and see his face. The kids thought that was pretty cool and took the opportunities to tell him about the computer games they were playing. They missed him, and though I gave it my best, my wrestling skills just don't compare to his! They were so happy when Daddy came home...and t-shirts and candy don't hurt, either.  ;o)

Have fun on this little "tour" of China through the photos below   :-)
