Instead of beginning school like most kids in the U.S., for the month of September, our family took an extended vacation to the Redwood forests of California and visited the Pacific Northwest. Nothing like starting off the year with a little time immersed in nature, especially while the weather is nice. :o)

I think it is so awesome that you took an extended vacation this time of year.I imagine that there wasn't as many vacationers this time of year. What a fun adventure. I loved the pictures and especially of your sweet children.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you all!
Yes, it was nice and less-crowded. To our delight and surprise, there were also wild blackberries still growing in many places and we ended up picking and eating a bunch. I think that;s one of my favorite memories, and I know the kids would say so, too! :-) Thanks for your comment, LeAnn!
