The Baby is the Lesson

It is very common for mothers with older children to worry if they will be able to give them "enough" attention or time with a new baby brother or sister around. Whether a family attends school or learns at home, this article provides peace of mind from an experienced mother who has been there and has wisdom to share. Whenever I feel some mild panic coming on, I bring up this article and read it. I think my blood pressure goes down a notch or two ;-)

Library book!



This made me laugh! Not the usual title of book a six year old chooses, right?

DVDs at the library have long held my sons' fascination and they always have chosen a few to check out whenever we go.

Last week after a children's story time, my second son looked at the stacks with new eyes and asked what they were.

Date Night

Aw, so adorable! The kid AND the hubby...I love this man!

My handsome husband and I went to dinner for an early Valentine's date last week and brought our little one year old daughter along. She was a joy for the first half of the meal and then she gave us a really good way to work off those extra calories by walking around the restaurant between bites.

Most of the time we go out alone if it's a date, but this time things worked out that she came along and you know what? She LOVED it! She really knew she had Dad and Mom to herself and just grinned and grinned and looked and looked around her. It made for a very memorable and fun evening.

Lots of vitamin C and herb tea being dosed out at our house for the colds this week. Baby has a fever and cough and we are all getting over colds left over from last week.

Baking cookies with Mom can be a good immune booster.
