Fall Doings Lately

Little Lady is turning 2 this month! She loves riding bikes and scooters, playing with blocks, dancing, taking walks while pushing her baby doll in the stroller, being pushed in the swing and playing with her brothers and girl cousins. She is a sweet gal, and starting to show some of her spunky spirit!

Since I have been feeling better and am now in the second trimester of this pregnancy, I have been happily in the kitchen more often, trying new recipes and baking old favorites on my good days. Pumpkin muffins, anyone? It's not fall without something with pumpkin baked into it, and preferably chocolate chips.
This meal I made, in photo form to the left, came directly from Cynthia Lair's cookbook, and the videos for the recipes can be found at her website, Cookus Interruptus. If you like cooking and laughing, you'll like her videos. The squash and cranberry stuffed chicken was yummy with her sweet pepper relish. The chopped Emerald City salad was good, too.

Lots of play dough time! It's been great to pull this trick out of the hat when the kids get restless.

More blocks! Even little sisters like these fun toys.

  1. happy bd to the little lady! and happy belated Thanksgiving to you too!

  2. I have a 2 and 4 year daughters. It'll be fun to see what you are doing with your kiddos. I'll be following your blog. I'm stongly looking into homeschooling. I love seeing what others are doing.
